I became interested when a fire destroyed some of the few possessions of my
grandfather, Lawrence Glenn, that my mother had left of him. He died in 1964 when my
mother was just 14 years old. As I understood it she was the apple of his eye. I knew
very little about him. Since that time I have traced the Glenn's extensively but as for
my own great grandfather, John Glenn I have not found anything past 1924. My great aunt
Isabelle (John's daughter) died without closure to these questions. I have come to the
conclusion that I may never find him. 

My MAJORS, TILL and POUNCEY family history is well documented and researched thanks to
my cousin and mentor Elaine Hendricks. She was married to Jeffery Glynn Hendricks, son
of Tessie Lucile Pouncey Hendricks. On June 1, 2007 Elaine and Jeff were killed in a
motorcycle accident in Diana, New York. Clicking the link to either her or Jeff's name

would not be nearly as complete and I for one owe her a debt of gratitude.

My Johnson line begins with Tommie J Johnson born 1896. He married Coy Leona
Williams circa 1917-1918. She was the daughter of John and Callie "Caroline" Bryant.

John Williams was born circa 1873 and Callie was born in 1875 to Robert Bryant
and Sarah Jane Seay. To date I have no further information regarding John's
parents. I have no doubt that time will give up her secrets regarding John's parents.
Patience is not a virtue for me. 

I just recently learned that my husband and I are related thru our Mills family. We are
fourth cousins once removed. His children are also his cousins. Confusing huh?? LoL. 

His line is Warren Wilson Mills born 1824 married Celia Goff. My line is Wilson Mills
born 1828 married Mahala Ludlam. Warren and Wilson are brothers. So we share a set of
great grandparents. 
My descendants will likely scream in frustration because I am not very organized at
all. But everything they need to know is contained in my two (and growing) notebooks.
